Stability in an unstable world
The offering of hope
For many, this Christmas season has come with conflicting emotions. Past Christmas traditions have been snatched from us through this pandemic.
A season of friend and family gatherings has left us wondering how to create community, despite continued distancing.
In a world that may feel unstable, shifting and currently unreliable, we find ourselves looking for something steady and sure. We have grown tired of fake news. Our souls are longing for truth, for real news.
The hope of redemption
God’s great plan of redemption offers to all who will receive it, the gift of hope.
As Christ followers our hope is planted upon the rock-solid foundation of God Himself.
Without Jesus coming to earth we would be bitterly lost, separated from God. No hope!
A hope that is placed in Christ Jesus is much more than wishful thinking. This hope offers the Good News of the gospel message. This is clearly a message of hope!
The hope of true satisfaction
The offering of God’s hope is one that satisfies our deepest longings and provides renewal and rest for our troubled souls.
Christs hope gives clarity in place of overwhelm.
His offering of hope will never disappoint!
This year we have found ourselves in varied levels of disappointment. For some, this disappointment has led to a place of grieving what once was, while for others disappointment only skims the surface of real loss, sorrow and devastating tragedy.
There is only one place where we can find true hope that will never disappoint us.
When we discover Christ we find hope that never lets us down, as Christ’s presence becomes our stabilizing foundation.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD.”
Jeremiah 17:7
May Christ Jesus become our surety in the place of instability and unknown.
The hope of Christmas 2020
This Christmas, I invite you to open the gift of hope.
From heaven to earth He came. A babe who would redeem all mankind to Himself.
Joy to the world.
“Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will rest in hope.” Psalm 16:9
As we celebrate Christmas 2020 and step into this New Year with all its unknowns, may our whole being rejoice and rest securely in the hope that God freely offers to all who will receive. On this rock solid foundation we can celebrate and safely rest.
HOPE has come!
