Now Available: A Beautifully Reimagined Edition of Bella Bunny’s Big Question: Grammy Is Heaven For Real

    May 14, 2026 /

Bella Bunny’s Big Question was created to gently support children and families as they navigate some of life’s hardest emotions—sickness, death, grief, sorrow, and loss. This newly updated edition brings Bella’s story back to readers with brighter illustrations, enhanced watercolor artwork, and a refreshed design, making the book even more inviting for young readers and the adults guiding them. This new release signifies a fresh chapter for both the book and its author. After facing significant publishing and copyright challenges with a former publishing partner, the decision was made to independently relaunch the book with renewed care, integrity, and creative control. Speaking truth into your gifts

    October 23, 2020 /

Speaking truth into my God-given gifts became a reality today, as I worked through the edits to the first half of my children’s book. After finishing, this thought hit me. I am a writer! Even though I have been rhyming poetry in my head and dreaming up story plots since I was a child, it has been hard to call myself a writer. Not only did I think there was no room at the table for me, I felt deeply that I could never push my uncredentialled-self up to this platform, where highly qualified people created and collaborated. How often do we live out of who we think we are,…

    Courage to Risk

    October 23, 2020 /

Today I risked! My children’s story is now in the hands of an editor. The Bella Project has been seven-plus years in the making. When Covid hit, I decided to pick Bella back up, and see her come to life by putting watercolor to her simple sketches. It has been exciting to see the progress over these past eight months, as I have steadily plodded along, putting corresponding illustrations to the words of her story. But…just hours after hitting send on my story, I felt like my spirit plummeted. Have you ever felt this way? You finally move forward on something you feel God nudging you to do, and then; BAM!…

Social Distancing: Beginning with the end in mind

    March 28, 2020 /

Part Two: Re-birthing the vision: The Bella Project This week I began my indoor flower garden. After purchasing a kit that contained multiple silver-dollar size discs, and several of my favorite seed packets, I invited my granddaughter over and together we went to work. I gave her a bowl of warm water and a measuring spoon. Soon she was tossing spoonfuls of water on the tiny pods. It was fun to watch the mystery on her face as each pod began to grow right before her big brown eyes. Within seconds the pods began to swell to well over three times their original size. The water had given birth to the…
