Look to the Hills
The hills touch the sky.
My eyes lift from the din of today’s circumstances.
In my upward gaze I find solace and strength to face what lies in the valleys of my soul.
Jesus is my soul keeper. He shepherds my soul well.
I stand amazed at how Jesus knows what lies in the cracks and crevices of my soul. He knows what lurks behind the shadows; ever longing to rescue me from danger.
He delights to meet me as I draw near to Him. He is ever present. Always willing to meet me where I am. Today, this is enough for me. He is enough.
LORD, whether it be valley or crevice below, keep me ever looking up.
Lord, your strength, comfort and wisdom are always available for me. Your solace, forgiveness, and love ground me; allowing me to lift my gaze heavenward.
Keep me looking for you. Today. Tomorrow. Always. For you will never leave or abandon me. You will never leave me orphaned in my struggle.
Lord, keep me looking to the hills. As I look up and look for strength for each new day, my gaze lifts from my circumstances and it finds you there; faithful, ever true, all the while leading and guiding, shepherding my soul.
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!
1 Chronicles 16:34
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1

Art on the road: A stormy night of travel as I am reminded to “look to the hills” my strength comes from the Maker of heaven and earth.
A moving vehicle doesn’t yield the best photography shots or art sketches; but I was drawn to the mountains as they touched the ever changing sky!
