    Courage to Risk

    October 23, 2020 /

Today I risked! My children’s story is now in the hands of an editor. The Bella Project has been seven-plus years in the making. When Covid hit, I decided to pick Bella back up, and see her come to life by putting watercolor to her simple sketches. It has been exciting to see the progress over these past eight months, as I have steadily plodded along, putting corresponding illustrations to the words of her story. But…just hours after hitting send on my story, I felt like my spirit plummeted. Have you ever felt this way? You finally move forward on something you feel God nudging you to do, and then; BAM!…

4 Steps to Rid Yourself of Fear-Chatter

    August 27, 2018 /

Letting Truth Take Hold  In previous weeks we have learned about the debilitating effects of attending to fear-chatter. Take heart my friend!  Through the truth of God’s Word, we CAN rid ourselves of fear-chatter. If you haven’t joined the conversation yet; check out our first dialog at http://www.lindajanedingeldein.com/fear-chatter/   And the second at http://www.lindajanedingeldein.com/fear-chatter-continues/ This is the final posting in a three-part series. Ridding ourselves of fear-chatter takes work. As I have gone through the discipline of putting these steps into practice, I have seen how my desire to overcome fear-chatter can be easily thwarted. Be patient! It takes time; but in the end you will reap the blessing of learning…

Fake, Fraud or Real: Personal Mask Assessment

    January 6, 2018 /

Hidden Identity:  During my elementary years my mother and I would often take trips to our local Salvation Army. It was always a highlight for me to get away from our country home and spend the day in our small city; as bargain hunting at a thrift store was one of my favorite activities. I loved to leisurely browse the racks for a new outfit, a great book title, a fun handbag or a new-to-me pair of shoes. Until one day, as I was engrossed in looking through the over stocked isles of used clothing, shoes and books; my eyes spotted another classmate. As our eyes locked, I was…

Fear of Authenticity: Listening to Wrong Messages

    December 14, 2017 /

When we are afraid of being seen for who we really are, we create appealing façades to hide our true-selves. We learn to promote someone who is likeable, agreeable, valuable and desirable. And we cover over areas we consider to be flawed, blemished or that may be rejected.  In this process of masking we learn to deny God’s standard to live freely out of who He created us to be and we appease the standards that we think others are setting before us; leaving us vulnerable to the enemy’s attack. We often deny our true ideas or opinions We hide our real feelings and emotions for fear that we will…

Grateful heart for freedom of country and freedom in Christ Jesus.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

Dedications of a book bring with it depth of meaning.

In this case, a baton has been and continues to be passed.

From my grandmother to my mother.

From my mother to me.

From me to my daughter.

From my daughter to her daughter.

A strong generational line of women.

A thread of love, faith, hope and prayer ties us strongly together.

Praying Life in The Word:A Woman’s Guide to Praying Scripture

Father, I pray that you will give to me a persistent spirit that keeps on seeking you, knowing that I will find exactly what I need.

Help me to keep on knocking, fully believing that the right door will be opened for me. For everyone who asks, will receive and everyone who seeks, will find. And everyone who knocks, the door will be open to them.

Heavenly Father, thank you, that you desire to give good gifts to your children! AMEN (Scripture prayer taken from Matthew 7:7-8)
